A STEP INTO MY PROGRAMMING JOURNEY

The cold night was gradually making way for the dawn, it could not resist the glory of the sun. A sign of hope for mankind waking the cock to its town-crying responsibility, who in turn mounts its beak high to trouble the neighbourhood with its awful crow. To alert the diligent of the journey ahead and disturb the lazy soul’s pleasures of sleep in an idle bed. There I lay in the twilight, with my ambitions troubling my soul. I have ever dreamed of remediating the challenges of the Agricultural sector of Nigeria's Economy but I needed a stepping stone to prove this amidst the adroit intellectuals the country boasts of. The quest to aggravate the food distribution and foreign trade conundrums through a programmed platform had become an obsession. My continuous ponder over this turned me into a desperate soul; desperate for an opportunity to transform my society. But never came a time for such and my hope was shredded piece by piece at the passing of each day.

Just like other mornings, I wake up to study and then await the warm embrace of hope in my comfort zone. This morning had a totally different package altogether. It will be the beginning of my journey. Hope has been raised to life; it is the beginning of a new dawn. I had earlier been asked to report @Learn-factory, a credible programming institute making waves in the East of Nigeria's Geo-political zone by noontime. The information about the program came through a cheerful friend who was already admitted into the internship. I went online for the necessary details and contacted the office administrator who asked me to show up at the office on the 6th of May, otherwise bid the admission a warm farewell because the admission window was already closed.

I travelled down to Abia state in a jiffy. I would have availed myself even before the time stipulated had the administrative asked. I got to the office as early enough. As I made my entrance through the door, I saw myself unshackled from his cuffs, loosed from a blindfold restricting my vision. I was ushered into the tech world for exploits.

After a brief interview, I was admitted into Learn factory academy where I will be learning software development for six months. The burning passion was kindled once again. Hope has surfaced in the streams of despondency. The clock has started ticking and in due time a lasting solution that will resolve the challenge of Agriculture in Nigeria and the world at large will be derived. Kudos to Learn factory for this act of benevolence.
